Bookkeeper & Payroll Accountant

About The Position

Jifiti is a leading global fintech company powering white-labeled embedded lending solutions for some of the world’s leading banks, lenders, and merchants, including Mastercard, Citizens Bank, FIS, Finastra, Ingenico, IKEA, and many others. Operating across Israel, the US, and Europe, we continue to expand our global footprint and drive innovation in the embedded finance space.

We are looking for a Bookkeeper & Payroll Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys taking ownership and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Beyond managing day-to-day bookkeeping and payroll activities, you will play a key role in improving and streamlining our financial processes. We are seeking someone who brings a problem-solving mindset, embraces new ideas and technologies, and is always looking for ways to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Financial Operations

  • Manage end-to-end bookkeeping processes for both our local and international operations.
  • Handle multi-entity bookkeeping, including intercompany accounting, foreign currencies, and relevant reconciliations.
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable, credit cards, vendor management, and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage all local Israeli reporting and communication with authorities (VAT, Income Tax, National Insurance).
  • Assist with periodical closing processes and collaborate with 3rd party auditors.
  • Interact professionally with global functions, including international partners, vendors, and customers.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial tasks to support ongoing business needs.

Payroll Administration (Israel)

  • Fully own the end-to-end monthly payroll cycle for our Israeli entity, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local Labor laws.
  • Manage all social benefits, serving as the main focal point for insurance agents, pension funds, and study funds.
  • Handle all monthly and periodical payroll reporting to local authorities (including Form 102, 126 and 856).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll, benefits, and related queries.


Requirements

  • At least 3 years of dual experience in both bookkeeping and payroll administration within a global High-Tech company (Mandatory).
  • Certified Bookkeeper (Type 1+2).
  • Certified Payroll accountant.
  • NetSuite: At least 3 years of hands-on experience (Advantage).
  • Shiklulit (שקלולית): At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Israeli payroll software (Preferred).
  • Professional-level English, both written and spoken, for working with international functions.
  • Highly proficient with Excel, Google Suite.
  • Familiarity with the modern AI tools (Preferred).
